Nutrition Screening and Care Planning -Training for Care Home Staff
Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service run a half day update training session on nutritional risk assessment twice a year. This training is aimed at senior care/nursing staff who are undertaking nutritional screening and care planning and will help you to meet the new Care Quality Commission standards on meeting nutritional needs of your residents.
The session incorporates the following topics:
• Nutritional screening
• Calculating weights, heights, BMIs and interpreting weight loss.
• Food fortification
• Nutritional care plans and monitoring
The session includes practical activities and each person attending will receive a comprehensive nutrition resource pack to take away.

There will be a £20 charge per person. This is not refundable unless the training is cancelled by Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service. Refreshments will be provided. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note that places cannot be confirmed until payment has been received.
